Banana bread recipe or plumcake , a preparation whose recipe has more than one advantage; it is easy and fast to implement and allows us to use overripe bananas that there would eat willingly.

The most widespread and available bananas everywhere are cavendish , although they are not among the most nutritious varieties (in terms of antioxidants and beta-carotene), they contain a good dose of potassium and are cheap . Even when their skin is brown, they stay tasty for a few days, but not everyone likes them when they reach such an advanced level of ripeness, so the banana bread recipe is a must-have.

The original recipe is American and it seems to be found as early as 1930. There is also a National Banana Bread Day on February 23rd.

The recipe we propose does not contain butter , an ingredient that is included in almost all versions, but oil . Even the vanilla extract is an ingredient that is frequently found in American recipes, as well as cinnamon . You can therefore add them to your taste.
